Another month has come and gone and we can't thank the good Lord enough for each day we are blessed with you.
You are so much fun! You are constantly busy and into something. Your daddy and I have had to get creative and find ways to re-arrange the house to keep you from getting into certain things. I searched specifically for a toy that was big enough that we could put in front of our tv to keep you from pulling up and standing right in front of it. Your daddy will sometimes line up your toys or big objects to keep you contained in one spot for awhile. You usually outsmart him though and find a way to escape. ;)
The day after you turned 9 months, you started cruising EVERYWHERE on your feet, with assistant. You love to find your walking toys to walk around the house and you have even gotten creative and started pushing around your toy bin, your big block, and pretty much anything you can find that will allow you to walk while holding on (a vinegar bottle, a small bucket, etc).
We thought you would be walking unassisted by now, but you may take your time with that. You seem to be too comfortable with the assistance of others and your toys...which is totally fine with me!
You started wearing shoes this month. You used to scream and throw a fit when we would put any on you. We finally found some that you like and I love putting them on you now. Baby shoes are the cutest!
You are quite the talker! You crack us up each time you jabber. I would give anything to know what you are "saying". Sometimes you have very intense conversations with your toys. You often have funny conversations too! Your favorite word is "dada", but you still don't really associate it with your dad.
You've been saying "mama" a lot lately, but you don't associate it with me either.
I think the only word you have down right now it "stop", pronounced "ta"--- which is what you call Louie. I can't help but crack up each time... I guess we tell him to "stop" more than we actually say his name. When he walks into the room you will say "ta"! Or if we go outside to take him potty you always yell "ta"! (Which is the time I say stop to him the most)
Speaking of Louie, you all are still good buddies. Some days you want nothing to do with him, other days you won't leave him alone. I think he prefers the first ;). He is so very patient with you and we are so thankful for such a good dog. He lets you "pet" him, which is usually like a miniature beating, but we are working on being gentle and using soft touches. You think it is the FUNNIEST thing in the world when he chases his tail. We never see you laugh as hard as when he does this.
You also LOVE cats. Obsessed with them. Taking a trip to Nana and Papa's means you get to see Newman. You squeal so loud and start laughing each time you see him. It's too cute. Your daddy isn't fond of this, as he does not like cats. (Ha) You also go crazy if you see a cat on tv or when we pull out your kitty book!
Soft things are a new favorite of yours too! You have a big lamb that we keep in the living room and each morning and every night you squeal when you see it and crawl very fast to it to give it hugs. It is the sweetest. You do this with your other soft stuffed animals and blankets, but your lamb is your favorite.
You've also been giving mommy lots of hugs and loveys lately and I LOVE IT!
Dancing is a new hobby of yours! You are quite the groover when a song comes on ;).
The morning of your 10 month "birthday", you woke up with 2 teeth starting to pop through on the bottom!
We are still practicing eating solids. It has been a work in progress, but it's getting better. I don't think we will have to send you to Kindergarten with bottles of breast milk, (this has been an ongoing joke between your daddy and I. ;) )
We have finalized your first birthday details and I'm still in shock that we are already starting to plan for it!
I'm not sure your weight this month, but I think it is somewhere around 18 lbs.
You are wearing size 9 month clothes and are still in size 3 diaper.
Your hair has really started growing the past month! It really curls up with you sweat or when it gets wet. I'm praying you have your daddy's curly hair!
You are the light of our lives and the amount of JOY you bring us each day is indescribable! We love you so much, Kyleigh Mae!
