Kyleigh Mae {3 months}

My sweet baby girl,
You turned 3 months old on January 28. I say it all the time, but you are growing up so fast. I absolutely LOVE every little milestone you accomplish. I thought I'd be sad with each "first", but I get so so excited watching you grow. This is one of the biggest blessings for me as I have been able to stay at home with you during this time. I'm so proud to be your mommy!

Here are some things you have been up to:

You found your sweet little hands and they are constantly in your mouth! You love to put them in front of your face and just look at them. And then they quickly get shoved into your mouth :). Sometimes you just put one or two fingers in your mouth, sometimes it's a whole fist, and other times you attempt both fists! (That's a bit harder to do) ;)

You also found your voice. And it is hilarious listening to you chat. You will sometimes go a couple days without jabbering, and then there are some days when you wake up and just chat all day long. I prefer the days you chat all day long. You will talk to your toys, your hands, and to us. We can't get enough of it. It is, by far, our favorite sound.

I love how alert you are. I can tell you are taking every little thing in. You love to follow us with your eyes around the room.
I wish I could get into your precious little head and see what you are thinking about. I know you are going to be a smart little cookie :)

You started to grab at your toys on your play mat.

You rolled over 4 times on Sunday, January 27 from tummy to back.

We heard your first little giggles this month. You have also been a big smiler! But those giggles, oh they MELT us!

You are a daddy's girl for sure! When daddy is home, you keep your eyes on him at all time. And when he makes eye contact with you or talks to you, you light up and smile so big. It is the sweetest.

But...you are also a mommy's girl! :)) We talk every day about how we are and always will be best friends :). And you smile and giggle so that gives me affirmation.

Your reflux seemed to peak quite a bit at around 8 weeks. You usually spit up (A LOT) after each feeding. We go through about 10+ spit up rags/towels a day and we have to keep a bib on you at all times. You usually go through about 3-4 outfits a day because you will often be covered in spit up. Although it is a pain to be covered in spit up (yes, I get covered in it a lot too), we are so thankful it is just a laundry problem and not a health problem. It very rarely seems to bother you. You are usually all smiles after every spit up :)

You are eating every 2 hours. Like clockwork. If you go 2 minutes past your feeding time, you are not a happy camper. I can't blame you though, I get grumpy when I'm hungry too ;). We are working on stretching these feedings out to 2.5 to 3 hours. Your reflux seems to get worse when we wait longer between feeding, but I think if we do it slowly, we can figure it out.

You are still nursing and it is still going great! But if I am gone, you take a bottle with no problem.

Sleep had been incredible. I think we sleep more now than before you were born! We usually put you down for bed around 9 or 930 and you wake up anywhere between 7 and 830. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being such an awesome sleeper!!! And please keep it up....forever ;)

Nap times during the day are never very consistent. You are so laid back and go with the flow. Some days you nap for about 30 minutes, other times about an hour. You usually nap 4 times a day.

You love your big brother Louie. You think it's funny to just watch him walk around or if we are playing fetch with him you get the biggest smile on your face. He loves to lay down next to you while you play on your play mat. (He also thinks your toys are his, and he also manages to snatch your paci's if they are in his reach). I think you two will become best buds.

We don't have official stats for this month because we did not have a wellness appointment.

According to the scale at home you are
12 lbs

You wear size 1 diapers.
You are just now transitioning from 0-3 month/3 month to 3-6/6 month clothes. The 0-3 are too small and the 3-6 are too big, so you are just wearing them with the sleeves rolled up and a little baggy looking for now ;)

We cannot get enough of you, Kyleigh Mae. You light up our lives more than we ever thought was possible.
