Kyleigh Mae {2 months}

My sweet, sweet Kyleigh Mae,

you turned 2 months old on the 28th.

2 month stats:

10 lbs 4 ounces -- 50th percentile
22.5 inches long -- 49th percentile
 

These past 2 months have been the greatest months of our lives. Daddy and I wonder how it is possible to love you more, but it seems to happen more and more each day.

With each day that passes, you seem to develop more of a personality and I absolutely LOVE watching you explore and learn. I love how alert you are now. You are the sweetest little baby.

You are definitely a morning person. Each morning you wake us up with the BIGGEST SMILES and giggles. I get you out of your pack and play and lay you on the changing table and we have a couple minutes of chatting and smiles. I was never a morning person, but you have definitely made me one now! And it helps that you sleep anywhere between 7 to 9 hours each night.

Some highlights from this month:

-Your cousin, Nolan Paul, was born on Nov. 29. You two are a month and a day apart and we are so excited that you two will grow up together and become best friends!

-We celebrated my 26th birthday at Nana and Papa's with the whole family.

-Your Uncle Boogie came into town from Los Angeles and you got to meet him for the first time.

-You took your first trip to Oklahoma (and you were perfect)

-We celebrated your first Christmas with 4 different celebrations (two with mommy's side of the family and two with daddy's side of the family)

For Christmas you got a new play mat with music and toys and a mirror. It is the highlight of my day now to watch you play on it. You LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Everytime we lay you down on it and you find your reflection in the mirror, you laugh and smile SO BIG.

Your favorite song we sing is "The Wheels on the Bus". You look at me like I am crazy when I sing it to you, but I can always get some smiles and giggles out of you when I sing it.

You have discovered ceiling fans and you are a major fan! (pun intended) ;)

You have some very sensitive skin.  Daddy and I knew before you were born that you would be doomed in the skin department.  He and I both have sensitive skin (especially your daddy!)
This past couple weeks your poor little skin has been through it all.  We ended up having to switch laundry detergent because you were covered head to toe in a rash.  It never seemed to bother you, but it sure did bother me.  Luckily, it cleared up about 3 days after switching the detergent.

You also have some eczema on your face.  You had a nasty break out on your left eyebrow just in time for Christmas (and meeting a lot of your daddy's side of the family for the first time)  We applied Vaseline on it like crazy and it cleared up within 2 days and hasnt returned since.  I still lather your sweet little face up a couple times a day with Vaseline in hopes it won't come back!!

 

We absolutely adore everything about you.  We cannot get enough of you and your sweet chunky cheeks.  We get compliments on you everywhere we go about what a good baby you are.  You very rarely make a peep.  We are so thankful you are such a good baby.
