31 Week Bump!

The belly button is OUT!

About the baby?  

Kyleigh Mae is about 16 inches long and weighs about 3.3 lbs.  She is heading into a growth spurt and will double her size (or more) by the time she is born.  She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin.  

Maternity Clothes? 

I wear what I can.  I find myself at the maternity store about once a week for a new top.  I wore a lot of non-maternity shirts for awhile, some I can still fit into, but most do not cover my belly now.  All of my pants I wear are either maternity or stretchy pants.

Gender?

Movement?   

There is definitely a lot more movement going on now, or at least that I can really feel.  Since she is bigger and stronger now, I feel a lot of rolls and tumbles.  I still feel kicks and jabs, but not like before.  Her little feet are up in my ribs and I am constantly having to push them down when I am sitting.  Sometimes I can feel a heel trying to stick out.  This morning she had the hiccups for about 30 minutes and it was so fun to have my hand on my belly and feel her little body bounce up and down from them.  I love guessing what body part is what when she is moving.  Every now and again I feel something pretty hard up against the front of my belly and I'm pretty sure it is her cute little tooshy. :)

Movement is by far the BEST thing about being pregnant.  I LOVE feeling every little movement she does.

Sleep? 

Sleep is not too bad.  I feel like I am starting to get that "pregnant insomnia".  I am SO exhausted during the day, but when I get to bed, I cannot fall asleep.  And when I finally do, I am awake again to pee.  I am getting about 7 hours of sleep a night, which is not a lot for me, especially being pregnant.  Before being pregnant, I was getting at least 8-9 hours a night, and then when I got pregnant, I was getting anywhere between 9 and 11 hours of sleep a night.

Food Cravings? 

Just water!! I am thirsty, thirsty, thirsty all the time, especially at night.

What I Miss?  

Nothing at all.  I love this precious little girl growing inside me more every day!

Symptoms?

My symptoms seem to be growing the farther along I get.  Let's see... peeing just about every 30 minutes, or so it seems.  It has become quite comical how much I get up at work to pee.  I don't know how I get any work done?  Her head is right on my bladder, and it feels like she is jumping on it at times.  I actually had my first minor peeing in the pants incident 2 weeks ago.  I sneezed and obviously could not control it.  It was just a little bit, but it definitely threw me off guard.  It was funny, especially being around my entire family.  

I have always had bad knees, (I have osteochondritis... meaning I have very little, if any, cartilidge in my knees...so it is pretty much bone on bone) but now that I have gained quite a bit of weight (that's another story in itself), my knees THROB.  Thankfully, they only hurt when I stand up or sit down (not when I am actually standing or sitting, but when I go to stand up or sit, so just for a couple seconds), or when I am climbing stairs.  I am praying that they do not get any worse, because if they do, I will probably end up chopping my knees off soon. (Yes, they hurt that bad!)  

Acne.  Not fun.

And carpal tunnel, I mentioned that in a previous post.  It is mainly in my right wrist, since I type 10-key at work all day.  Some days it is worse than others, but overall it has gotten better.

Best Moment This Week? 

Visiting our best friends (from when we lived in St. Louis) in Nebraska for the long Labor Day weekend.  All 9 of us met up and had a great time catching up! I am so thankful we all made an effort to get together and we will continue to stay in touch! I cannot wait for them to meet Kyleigh Mae.

Also, KM was the MOST active she has ever been this ENTIRE weekend.  I loved it!!!!!

Looking Forward To?

I have a breastfeeding class on Saturday, yay! I am really looking forward to it and learning a lot.  

Also, I have another shower a week from this Saturday, my best friends are throwing it and I know it will be perfect.  Cannot wait!!!!
