Busy Busyyy

Wow, it has been a crazy/busy last week and a half. I have been fortunate to have gotten SEVERAL babysitting jobs. I'm so thankful. God continues to provide for us, when we least expect it. It is exhausting to be with kids all the time, but I love it and adore the kids. (most of them ;-) ).

Reddell and I are SO excited for the weekend. We will finally have time to rest and then on Saturday we will be going to Mark and Emily's house for our Disney themed Halloween party with all the other married couples and our close friends. Reddell and I are going to be Minnie and Mickey Mouse. I cannot wait to post pics!! It will be hilarious :).

I cannot wait for my California trip in ONE week. It is crazy that the time is almost here, this year has flown by. I am so excited to see my bubby and the rest of my amazing family. I am so blessed.

We are going home for Thanksgiving!!!! YAHHHHH! We weren't sure if we would be able to with us being so busy lately, but we decided that we will just go 'head anyway. We miss our families and are stoked to be able to spend the Holiday with everyone. :)

I should be doing a school project right now that I have put off for awhile, so I have to go :)

Weekend Fun.

I had a busy week last week! Lots of lesson plans for school, and then lots of babysitting! They all went well! :) And I have another busy week of babysitting this week, Yahoooo!

Oh, I did forget to update that for some reason I did not hear back from that family about being a permanent after school nanny...so as of now I am still just picking up sitting jobs here and there. Which is actually working out so much better!  I was really disappointed at first, but now I feel like it happened for a reason, and I know that everything will work out just fine!

We had a fun weekend with our absolutely amazing friends! Thursday night we went to the Schmitz's for dinner, and then we hung out and played Rockband and just chatted.  Always a fun time with them.  Saturday night me, Kayleigh, and Elyse went and picked out pumpkins for us and our hubby's to carve and to decorate.  We spent a couple hours having pumpkin fun at our apartment, (above is the picture of my pumpkin I painted/decorated..it's our new centerpiece on our dining room table) and then we went to a haunted corn maze out in Eureka.  That was quite eventful! Lots of laughs and fun times!!!

I never imagined making such great friends moving up here.  I knew we would find people to hang out with and have fun with, but we are beyond thankful to have met such awesome friends- that I know will be lifelong friends.   I am excited for these next couple of years! :)

Praise God for this week of beautiful weather to come! 60's and 70's with SUN!!! YaY!

I'm Singing..

Music, to me, is one of the most powerful ways to express myself and to relate to certain things in life.   I can be having a horrible day but one thing that always cheers me up is a good song or cd.  One of my favorite CDs is Kari Jobe.  If you have not heard of her, I HIGHLY recommend buying her cd! Every one of her songs is so inspirational.   Sometimes we do not always get what we want or wonder why things happen the way they do.  God knows us better than we know ourselves.  He would never put us in a situation we could not handle.  This is something I still struggle with.  I get selfish sometimes and I think I can do whatever I want and how I want to do it.  God humbles me often by re-directing my paths and pointing me in the complete opposite direction.  Even in the smallest, simplest things throughout the day I know that God has me do the things I do because he is FOR ME.  How crazy is it that the GOD of the ENTIRE universe knows ME, and wants the BEST for ME!?  His love for us is so incredibly powerful and overwhelming.  If that doesn't humble you, I don't know what will ;)

Feeling MUCH better :)

Praise God! I am out of bed for the first time in 2 and a half days! It was miserable! I'm still not 100% but I feel great compared to what I was on Wed and Thursday! Can't wait to get completely well and go get that flu shot!!!

Yesterday Reddell and I gave Louie a bath...he was getting stinky :). Here are a couple pics from his bath time...

He is like a little kitty..he doesn't like getting wet!  But now he is clean and soft and smells good! He got to sleep with us again last night, and entertained us the first 20 minutes we got into bed by snoring while sleeping on his back.  He's a goober.

Today we are CHEERING on the HOGS and the CARDINALS!! Let's hope the Cardinals can get a W today so we can play again tomorrow and hopefully advance!!!

I'm a NANNY!

I am so stoked! I had an interview with a family today to be a permanent after school nanny for their 3 kids!!! I loved them and they loved me, they said they would call me soon and I will start next week! There is a 6 year old girl, 3 year old boy, and a PRECIOUS 4 week old baby girl.  I will mainly take care of the 6 and 3 year old, but on occasions I will have all three.  They have a beautiful house that is about 5 minutes away from our apartment.  It is all perfect. I will now get a steady pay every week, doing something I love and that my heart is in.  I knew something would work out soon.  I always say this, but it is so true....God is GOOD, ALL THE TIME! :)

On a note so good note..I think I am getting sick :(.  I started to not feel so great on Monday, and then yesterday got a little worse, and then today I felt like I was losing my voice and haven't been able to breath much.  I'm praying I don't get the flu.  I don't have time to be sick! I was going to get my flu shot last Monday but couldn't go because that was the day I started to get sick!  I'm trying to get lots of rest and take my vitamins.  Hopefully it will pass quick so I can get back to normal! 

TONIGHT the Cardinals start playoff games!!! We are STOKED!!!!! We are hoping to go downtown on Saturday to watch the game, it will probably be crazy down there, but what a fun environment with all the Card fans! 

I need to finish up my stack of homework, but I pray that everyone has a blessed day.  We love you guys so much and cannot thank everyone in our lives enough for all of your love and support.

What a beautiful Sunday! The trees are starting to turn colors and the sun is perfectly shining!

Friday we had a great time at the Cardinals game with the Dumonds.  It was a bit chilly and windy, and after the 7th inning the Cards blew the game...but we still had fun :).  

Yesterday I babysat from 9am to 11:45 pm! It was the longest day of my life, but I am glad I did it because the pay was good.  I babysat two families, the first was from 9-5.  They had 2 boys ages 7 and 2.  They were not so fun and the house was a bit dirty, so it made the day extra long for me.  But the second family from 6-11:45,  were the cutest family I have ever seen! Three beautiful, well-behaved children! I wanted to take them home with me!! I'm praying that I can get some more jobs throughout the week!

Reddell was busy yesterday putting up our new bookshelf for the living room! We both have so many books and folders for school that our little shelf wasn't working anymore.  So we moved the little one into our bedroom and now we have a 5-shelf bookshelf in the living room.  It looks great!

Stinky has been a good boy! He got to sleep in our bed with us the last 2 nights, and he did great! He usually wakes us up several times throughout the night, but these last two nights are the best nights of sleep I have gotten in awhile. Last night he passed out on his back between Reddell and I with his legs sprawled out...he is a bed hog! :).  He's been GREAT with his potty training! 

Reddell and I are going to look for Halloween costumes today.  We need to decide soon what we want to be.  Right now it is between Minnie and Mickey Mouse, or Alice in Wonderland.  :)  We still need to find Louie a costume too!! He says he wants to be a cowboy, but we will see ;).

REDDELL'S BIRTHDAY!

Today's is my handsome husband's 23rd birthday!!! I wish I could express how much he means to me and how much I love and adore him.  It is hard to imagine my life without him, ever.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to wake up next to him every morning, and to have someone to laugh with everyday.  

It's a bummer we both had to spend the day at school for his birthday.  We are going to dinner tonight to celebrate, and then he gets to study some more :(.  Tomorrow will be a better day though, we get to go cheer on the Cardinals and catch some homeruns!!!  

Happy Birthday to my wonderful Boo-Boo!!! I love you dearly.
